Totally fascinating This book was assigned to the archaeology class at the university in which I work As the anthropology librarian, I decided to read it The extent to which the artifacts and site were found are simply astounding Remains down to remnant ants and mice nibbling on grains, etc dirty dishes awaiting cleaning, and finger swipes in the dishes were found due to the ash that preserved the area after a volcanic eruption If you are interested in archaeology, this is a must read.
