McGray hacked open the pages of this short story, shoved a load of gore and depravity into its pages, and sewed it up tight with the threads of freakin awesome.Treed is a mini story with maximum punch When a deal between two psychopaths goes sour, the deadly duo find themselves stuck in a twisted alliance and haunted by the same gruesome specter While in the forest attempting to cover up their latest despicable deed, the two men find that this time, they are not the ones creating the nightmares, [...]

A deal forged over the torn bodies of family members, two killers take a trip into the woods in the hopes of sating their sick appetites Yet what they encounter there is nothing like they d ever imagined, and they find that ancient horrors have greater hungers than any other.Treed, by Craig McGray, is a fast blood thirsty read that grabs you from the opening sentence Within the first page you re hooked and a little disgusted and anxious to read on and find out exactly what these two sickos are u [...]

This is the first thing I ve read by Craig McGray I discovered him on Twitter, and figured I d give him a try and this story didn t disappoint There s plenty of gore and action packed into 30 short pages. The story is about two men who, due to having dirt on each other, form an uneasy alliance One of them has an interested way of disposing of his victims.I rated this 4 stars instead of 5 not because there s anything wrong with the story I liked it In fact, that s the issue, it left me wanting It [...]

Fantastic opening, gripping and intense Craig has set this story in motion at a fast and furious pace with a man hanging in a noose and another teasing him with the rope just long enough for him to touch the floor The descriptions are very vivid and the story is well thought out and surprising The dynamic between the two men is tense, interesting and at times fun A nice mix of horror and violence with just a bit of gore, with a great ending that includes a twist of events Treed is simply a great [...]

I really like Craig McGray s imagination, he can really take a plot and the reader into worlds you have never imagined in your worst nightmares.Treed started off horrifically enough but the build up to the grand finale was disturbing and chilling, nothing prepared me for where the story ended up but I really liked it I was hooked from the first word to the last and pretty sure I held my breath a few times A satisfying escape into a macabre story, where you will never look at a tree the same way [...]

Short brutal tale of two psychopaths, one of whom has a creative way of body disposing Graphic, violent, solidly written, this one didn t engage me, might have been the mood I was in and not the story s fault, might have been the fact that I didn t care about the characters Fans of horror would probably enjoy this one.

Gore, violence and terror What a great read It genuinely creeped me out and that doesn t happen too often The imagination of it amazed me the dark, twisted imagination that I, as an amateur writer, also have Great stuff.

Not for the faint of heart now can I repeat that Nor for the easily offended, but very, very creative, very imaginative, very visceral my gut still feels it Quite possibly not forgettable hence, all the disturbing.

Well written, gory and violent, though I would ve liked character development and answers before the story ended I wrote a whole long review and then my browser ate it, so this will have to suffice.

I enjoyed the creepiness to this story What to do when 2 evil people have each other over a barrel Hmmm, pretty good tale

I discovered Craig McGray after searching for free horror books on There I found This little Piggy as well as Madeline, which is the order I read them in I really liked the first, a bit disappointed by the latter At the end of one was the offer to downloadTreed I figured Why, not 50 50 chance it is good Well, I had some technical difficulties and actually forgot about it til after my brother was reading the above mentioned shorts and he said he would like to read Treed , which reminded me that I [...]
